An absolute insult to the rare photos of Babe Ruth from 1915 community.
Second time on pawn stars , first with 1951 Bowman Mantle Rookie. Card .Now this, asking for more money than the item worst. A moron…A moron……His IQ ….000. A moron.
This guy sucked at negotiating
That dudes chin looking kinda thick ngl
Cost you $500+ in auction fees.🤣
Seller was smart! Rick was trying to roll the guy!
He should have taken the 7, after fees he’ll be lucky to get that at an auction
Thought 8 was fine
20 year old babe… my man looks 35 😂
What good can come out of selling it to a seller don't you get more money selling it to a collector or auctioning
Did you see the eyes on that appraiser??? It's like the 1st time I heard The Beatles…
Customer: “Can I get a change for a 20” ? Rick: “I’ll give you 5 bucks”
THANK YOU RICK FOR BEING A PROUD AMERICAN AND SUPPORTING TRUMP I LIKE TOU EVEN MORE NOW👍👍👍👍.LOVE AND RESPECT FROM THE UK 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Back out and move along.
His parents were horrible!
Why does this guy sound like Patrick start from spongebob
Take it to auction !!!
Rick is a hater
Hahaha. I love how Rick ALWAYS says "I take all the risk!" No Rick…there is no "risk," on this rare Babe Ruth AUTHENTICATED photo! LMAO. A "risk" is selling anything to these guys!! Scammers!!
This is an offense to the Pez community.
"What do you have""Jesus left ball" "This is really cool""How much do you ask" "50 000 dollars" "Let me call my expert" Expert : "this is great, lemme check the taste. Hummmm. Someone tried to clean the sweat, i'd say it's worth 25 dollars" "Ok, so how much do you want now ?" " 25 dollars""I'll give you 10, and i'm taking all the risk" "Ok, deal" "Sweet !"
I'm surprised. I figure rick would've started at 3 or 4 grand, not 7
Rick, look all this stuff I have in here that I thought that would sell quick I’m talking all the risk here shut down the store lol
Guy : babe Ruth picture worth Atleast $10k Rick : best I can do is a sticky sock
Picture is worth max 10 grands.Owner: Okay, I will sell it for 12.000 then. What a moron.
Much respect for walking away
Rick is a jackass for still calling in his "buddy" despite the seller having the paperwork of authencity..
I wonder how much the 2017 Houston Astros team picture will be worth in 100 years!
Back to auction houses, makes it sounds like he might have already tried and not got what he wanted.
Game on tommorow 🇺🇸🖊️📖🐨🌍🕊️
A pawn shop Dufus
Nickel, dime… no one said PENNY!
Babe Ruth sucked
I have this picture.
I bet Mr.Brown would famously give you more for it he played with the Babe.
5 years later hes probably still the guy trying to sell this in Palm Beach for 11,900 😂😂😂
That’s the coolest Red Sox 20-year-old bed Ruth picture. Rick I know u want that picture. It worth it for the right price Rick I know lmao 😂
“My best offer is $5 I’m taking a risk”
@PawnStars it wasn't mentioned until the end about going $500 more and he would of sold it and I'm no expert but I think you should give the guy a call back, I think there's money to be made there
Rick has a live feed CCTV and someone in the back office banging on a trash can when the seller is coming in with a high price🤣
Dumbass I seen one go for 8300 without paying the 30% auction fee..I would of taken that $7,000 with a smile
That’s John redcorn
I personally think that customer was shady. Opened the laminate covering in case he might want to frame it.
Seemed like a very fair offer to me.
Dude doesnt even know how business works. Go to ur auctionhouse and have them take the 25% cut
Auction house lol. Yeah pay those auction fees and see how much you get for It
I got the impression that Rick didn't like him.
I hate when Rick always tries to justify his lowball offers by saying "I'm taking a big risk here", WHAT RISK SERIOUSLY WHAT RISK IS THERE TO SOMETHING LIKE THIS IT WILL SELL WITHIN MINUTES
Finally a guy who turned Rick the cheapskate down.
Bruh some of y’all don’t know how lawn ships work
What! He didn't go up anything but he "really wants it" I am betting if anyone else was buying it from him other than Rick they would have at least gone 8,000 maybe more
7,500$ would have done the deal and Rick could have sold it a week later for 10,000$. Rick should have come up 500$. This picture was very rare and it’s the Babe for crying out loud, not Napoleon or Churchill which most people don’t even know.
I always have to wonder who the heck would be dumb enough to bring some of this rare stuff into a pawn shop anyways
So this was just a psa commercial….
Babe Ruth was the best player ever. The Bambino.
I'd give him 10k in cash for that in a city minute.
Glad he kept it. You will get more for it.
He looks in his late 40s early 50s
Bad bluff by rick
This is story we call BABE for your lovers😎
3:44 Eat them apples
He did the right thing, that photo is worth a lot more in auction in a few years. He'll probably get double or more of what Rick offered. Pawn shop is always a bad bad deal, use only if you need the money for an emergency.
Had that been me selling I would ask for 12,500.00 lowest I’ll take is 12,499.99 and call your expert but I’ll still ask for 12,500.00And lowest is 12,499.99 and keep your risk
Risk?? The appraiser just said it can sell quickly!!!
Update: photo ended up selling for $16,000 at auction
An original team photo of the 1914 Baltimore Orioles, featuring Babe Ruth, sold for $190,373 at the Lelands Spring Classic Auction last year. It was a good thing he held onto it – being a rookie pic, the $10,000 valuation was so under its value, it's highly suspect. I know collectors who would pay at least $100k for a Ruth rookie team pic in that condition.
i BUY IY FOR 2 DOLLAR
Even if he gets 12 at auction, that's 30% auction fee, so he's only going to get about 8500 bucks. Still more than the 7 but he might be waiting an 6 months to a year to get that extra 1500 bucks. No, take the 7 and move on if you really want to sell it.
The Orioles were Babe Ruth's guardian not the Red Sox. I thought Rick knew everything?
I think it’s fake, the guy looked real shady and you could easily print that photo
Glad this guy gotta away from Ricks Slimy, scamming hands!! All this “I take the risk” is such a bullsh*t scam line!!!
Ahhhhhh, good ole 1915. Back when if you were 20, you looked like a 40 year old…
Rick:will you do $2
Gotta love the pawnshop
He could have bought it for 7500, made a quick 2500, why would'nt he want that? 33% return is pretty good to most people.
10k seems a little low…..
I’m just here to see what all the YouTube comment experts would’ve offered the guy for the picture.
It’s worth 10 grand—I won’t pay. a dime more than 7. Opportunity lost there…
My only question is why the only player in the picture has a mark on it and it's his ?
Babe Ruth was actually adopted by the Baltimore Orioles before he made a name and was signed to the socks
This is an insult to the puppet community
Michael Jordan is as big as Babe Ruth i mean come on man
Rarely does Rick run into someone who is more of a pompous jerk than himself. Today was the day.
Hey Rick if you’re reading this I have an autographed Peter North used condom. How much is it worth ?
Seems low for such an iconic and rare picture
this is an insult to Babe Ruth fans community
You know Pawn Stars aren't real baseball fan or the graphical department…"18 win-8 loss"?
Back to the auction house…. Where I might get $7k, after fees, in three months…
Rick's wife : Honey, I am cooking dinner for you, let's eat.
Rick: ok, but I am taking all the risk here.
This is a insult to the Babe Ruth community! Rick must be a
Huston Astros fan 🗑…
rick just looking like a big greedy jerk on this one.
He's gonna make more than 7k now..Because auction price starts at 10k, and even after paying the auction fee 30% he's getting more.
Who else saw babe Ruth and got reminded of that one episode where there was a giant oompah loompah selling his bat for 2 million dollars??
Just in time for spring training.
"Very rare" it's fake
Looks like someone's not willing to "Take all the risks."
Don't ever say the least you take in a deal
