Cut and Trim Videos with the Movavi Video Cutter Tool!

Using Movavi Video Editor, you can easily
cut and split video clips by clicking the Split button. But if you have a lot of cut-and-split work,
there’s a more convenient solution. Movavi Split Movie module is a great single-purpose
editing tool – it lets you split a video into multiple scenes in one pass. This video tutorial will show you how. Step 1.Open the Movavi Video Editor program. If you don’t have it installed, click here
and follow the on-screen download and set-up instructions. Step 2.Import your footage and add it to the video
track. To do this, click the Import button and then
the Add Media Files icon. Find the folder with the file you want, select
it, and click Open. Just drag-and-drop the file onto the video
track on the timeline. Step 3.Open the Split Movie module. Select the video clip and click the Split
into Multiple Parts button on the Toolbar. Step 4.Mark the scenes you want to keep on the timeline. In this example, there’re some parts we
need to remove. The Movavi Split Movie module gives you a
choice of tools to use to select the scenes you’d like to keep. The fastest way is to use the Select and Deselect
buttons. First click the Invert button to deselect
the whole video clip. Now, press the spacebar to play the video
back. Hold down the Select button while the video
is playing to tell the program you want to keep this section; let go of the button to
stop selecting. Hold the button down again once the playback
indicator reaches another segment you’d like to keep. Repeat this process until you’ve selected
all the scenes you want to keep. The selected scenes are marked with orange
bars in the Timeline. You can also deselect the unwanted parts by
using the Deselect button. Alternatively, you can use the Left and Right
Markers on the timeline. Place the playback indicator at the beginning
of the scene you’d like to keep and click the Left Marker button. Then place the indicator at the end of the
desired scene and click the Right Marker button. Repeat this process to select the other scenes
you want to keep. If you only need to remove one short scene,
you can just select it and click the Invert button so the rest of the video, which you
want to keep, is selected. For more precise splitting, you can set the
exact timing for each start and stop point using the Scene pane on the right of your
screen. When all the scenes you want to keep are selected,
click OK. Now you can see your video short, with only
the scenes you need, divided into clips on the timeline. And that’s all you need to do to cut and
split a video into multiple scenes in one pass using the Movavi Split Movie module. Now you can continue to work on the video
by arranging the clips, adding titles and special effects, recording voice-overs and adding music! Download Movavi Video Editor today and create
your own video project!

At the point where I press the invert button it doesn't let me use the other buttons. Therefore I can't select scenes. What do I do?

Do you guys ever think about putting audio waves instead of leaving it out flat?. It's hard to sync audio and video if they come from different files.

This should be a keyboard hotkey. I paid for this software, and I'm very upset that I gave money to this company. I am so utterly dissatisfied with the software.

"oh if you do lots of clip splitting, we can give you another window where YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO MOVE THE DAMNED CURSOR EACH TIME!"

OK. Where is the "Split Movie Module"? Is that a separate download? I don't see it anywhere online. How do I open it within the program?

Hello. I recently purchased the Movavi Slideshow Maker. I am pleased with the product, but I need to figure out how to adjust photos so the top portion of some photos appear in the slideshow. I can crop from side-to-side, but I can't seem to adjust the photos from top to bottom. Thank you.

Bleh. All I'm trying to do is shorten a few segments of a video and everywhere I go I have to pay for it or the watermark is too obnoxious to bear. I wouldn't care if it were in a corner, I'd endorse the idea honestly, but the fact it takes a big chunk of the screen on and off it ruins my video more than the waiting times did…

  27. Kevin Boyle July 30, 2019 at 4:43 am

What if your video and your audio track are on separate tracks? When I go to cut, it cuts one but not the other – it's very frustrating. I want to cut the video and the audio at the same point and I want the audio and the video to stay together. As it is now they are split independently. Anyone have a solution for me? Thank you.

  28. LC Caipy October 4, 2019 at 5:49 pm

Hello, i have the newest version 15.4.0 but i cant find the split option. I can only cut the video in two peaces but not cut out certain peaves like in the video. I bought the full version but the video it 4 years old and the programm looks totally different.
