Hello, I’m Serzari, and welcome to the first
installment of my BeamNG Showdown Series. I’m going to be putting the Bruckell Moonhawk against the Gavril Barstow in a head-to-head challenge on Hirochi Raceway Full Circuit. The Barstow and the Moonhawk may be in the same performance class, but they use very different approaches to achieve their performance. The King snake has over a hundred and fifty more pound-feet of torque than the Moonhawk Race, and nearly a hundred more bhp while being 200 pounds lighter. That may not sound promising for the Moonhawk, but there’s much more to these two cars than
power-to-weight. The Moonhawk has a half-second quicker 0-to-60 time and a 20 feet shorter stopping distance. This all points to a huge disparity in suspension and tire performance. Better handling, or more power? Will the Moonhawk lag behind on the straights, or will the Barstow be left behind in the corners? There might even be a surprise challenger. Stick around to find out! (Totally meant to do that.) Looks like the handling difference was even greater than expected. As we come up to the finish line, the Kingsnake is over four seconds behind the Moonhawk race. The Kingsnake simply could not put the power down on corner exit. Can’t let things end on such an anti-climax, can we? I mean, there was another model above the Kingsnake… It’s two performance classes above the Moonhawk Race and has nearly double the horsepower, but it looks like we need the big guns. Nightsnake, do your worst. And as we come to the line it’s gonna be close! And it falls short by just a tenth! That
may be within driver margin of error. That being said, holding its own with such a clear power and weight disadvantage makes makes the Moonhawk the clear winner in my mind. With longer straights though … This might be worth a rematch on the upcoming
West Coast USA Circuit. Anyways, this has been Serzari with the BeamNG Showdown Series. If you liked the pilot episode, maybe think about sharing it around and leave your feedback in the comments. Thanks for watching!
